Aramid bead rings for foldable bicycle tyres

Aramid bead rings consist of aramid covered with a matrix.

Aramid is wound into a ring which is stiff enough for automatic transfer with a bead carrier during the production process of the tyre. In the finished tyre there is enough flexibility in the bead area to fold the tyre.
